Wye College and Its World: A Centenary History - Stewart Richards. Published by Wye College Press, University of London, Paperback, 1994. Illustrated. From its mediaeval origins, on 13 September 1948 Wye College was incorporated, by royal charter of King George VI, a full institution of the University of London as The College of St Gregory and St Martin at Wye generally known as "Wye College". Over the next 20 years the institution transformed itself from a local agricultural college that "happened to have a network of international contacts" to a truly "national and international" establishment combining the "practical and academic". In 2000, Wye College merged with Imperial College and was renamed Imperial College at Wye, and it ceased to be an independent College of London University. In 2009, the last students graduated and Wye College campus closed. Condition: Fair. The pages are mainly clean; inside the front cover there are some spots, and some marks around the page edges. A large crease can be found on the back cover, a reading crease on the spine and light curvature on the front. The college coat of arms is printed on the first page, with a sticker saying: "Wye College - End of an Era Ball 2009". It is not clear whether this book was purchased at the time of publication, or later, nor when the sticker was added.
