The dummy can also be used as a flowerpot at the base of a flower display cake. Its straight edges mean you can get crisp, clean lines when decorating with fondant icing. This will save you time over traditional chamfered or bevelled edge dummies as you do not have to spend as much additional time The dummy is great for shop displays, exhibitions and other events where the cake does not have to be eaten, you only want to show off your decorating skills. The dummy can be iced using a variety of different mediums including fondant/sugarpaste, buttercream, royal icing and can be used with modelling paste and modelling chocolate. Made from EPS 100 polystyrene, the dummy is more compressed than other cake dummies on the market making it much easier to cut with a serrated knife if you wish to carve it to your own specifications. The dummy can be washed and reused, but is cost effective enough to throw away after use and get another one for your next big project.
