Dry eye symptoms occur as a result of eye surface disorders that can be caused by a number of different reasons. These can be where the normal tears are either of poor quality or produced in too little quantity to keep the eye sufficiently moist. What is the active ingredient in Xailin Hydrate Preservative Free Eye Drops and what do these drops do? Xailin contains the active ingredient Hypromellose 0.3% w/v and contains a disappearing preservative that turns into water and oxygen upon contact with the eye, thereby minimising the irritation that may be caused by traditional preservatives while still providing the convenience of a multidose form. Warnings and Precautions Do not use it if the safety ring on the cap of the tube is broken. Do not use it if you are allergic to the ingredients this product contains or if you have had a previous allergic reaction to this gel. Do not touch the tip of the tube with your eye or any surface. Do not share Xailin drops with any other person. These drops may blur vision for a while wait until your vision is clear before driving or using machinery. Do not use it after the expiry date. Store between 1°C and 25°C. Discard the contents 28 days after the first opening. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
