Yamatoku Kiln Japanese Pottery Charger Plate in Blue and White, late 19th Century Impressed mark in the clay for Yamatoku Kiln located in the Saga Prefecture on the Island of Kyushu. The foot is unglazed and has imprints on the underside of supports used during firing, along with the impressed Yamatoku mark used up until 1910. The charger is transferware, in blue and white with a design of 2 pheonix, with a brown ridge or piecrust edge. There are a few small chips to the underside. Charger measurers 15 1/2 inches
