The one that came to a group of friends in the heart of Houston, Texas, became Yellow Rose Distilling. The first legal Whiskey distillery in Houston became operational in 2010, named after a folk heroine and nestled smack dab in the middle of the city. Since the launch of their first product in 2012, their juice has brought home several awards, with Yellow Rose opening a tasting room and expanding considerably over the years. Yellow Rose Single Malt Whiskey is a nod to the classics. Crafted from 100% malted barley and double pot distilled, this one is aged to perfection. The good Yellow Rose folk make sure all the big and bold flavors of Golden Promise barley are preserved and served neatly in a smooth, grain-forward profile with dried fruit and pleasant spices dancing around.
