Wheelthrown bowl with the interior glazed in duck egg blue or creamy vellum silky glaze contrasting with a warm toasted stoneware clay exterior. Great size for soup porridge, cereal or salad. An elegant addition to any kitchen cupboard. These thinly thrown bowls are my favourite shape, deceptively simple, but very practical and stackable. I love the unexpected toasting of the clay as the silky smooth glaze and raw pot fuse in the kiln, some magic occurs, tingeing the clay with a warm rich hue. With small changes in the amounts of colouring oxide this glaze will vary from duck egg blue (as these are) to a pale green: eau de nil or a creamy vellum. A great size for soups, cereals, porridge or salad. In the same range are medium and large dishes, teapots, extra large teacups and small medium and large jugs Can be used in a microwave, please take care as the piece can get warm Can be washed in a dishwasher but you may prefer to hand wash them
