Designed in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the first ever non-stop solo transatlantic flight, Swiss watch brand Longines have launched this exclusive special edition Longines Lindbergh Hour Angle watch. Named after Charles Lindbergh, the brave gentleman that flew the skies exactly ninety-years ago, the Longines hour angle watch is intended especially for collectors of vintage watches who will appreciate the uncanny accuracy of a design of a historic Longines watch found on the wrist of one of the world's most celebrated pilots. Measuring to 47.5mm in size, the Longines Lindbergh Hour Angle Mens watch is presented with a smooth, polished stainless steel case and a bi-directional rotating bezel. The bezel and dial together pay tribute to the very same design worked on by Charles Lindbergh who wanted to ensure transatlantic pilots of the future could determine the hour angle with their current location, longitude and the Greenwich time. These unique dial markings are displayed handsomely in a variety of blue and black Arabic and Roman numerals housed beneath scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass. The white lacquered polished dial is paired with a sophisticated brown alligator leather strap and is home to the L699 automatic winding movement. The Swiss made calibre can be witnessed through an exquisite glass case back and delivers a healthy power reserve of 48 hours and a frequency of 28'800 vibrations per hour.
